Abstract


This study aims to (i) determine the structure and source of investment in Riau Coastal region, (ii) determine the relationship between investment income Riau Coastal region (iii) determine and analyze the level of investment required for the development of the region Riau Coastal fore. This type of research is the development of research that aims to develop, expand, and dig deeper into the theory of investment and economic development in a region that is strongly associated with the field of development economics and regional economics
The results showed that the structure of investment in Riau Coastal regions according to economic sector based on the prices prevailing during the period 2011-2014 the main source of the field is still dominated by mining and quarrying. Although the views of the structure of the mining and quarrying sector investment is an economic sector with the greatest investment value but growth began to slow. Capital Output Ratio (COR) during the period 2010-2014 on the basis of prices prevailing in the region of Riau Pesisir average of 0.136 with the highest COR Dumai at 0.345 and lowest Rokan Hilir at 0.080. Meanwhile, based on constant prices of 2010 the average number COR in Riau Coastal region of 0.158 with the highest COR figure of 0.335 Kota Dumai and Rokan Hilir lows of 0.097. Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) in Riau Coastal region on the basis of prices prevailing during the period 2010-2014 amounted to 1,289 with the highest ICOR Dumai at 5.640 and lowest Rokan Hilir at 0.663. Meanwhile, based on constant prices ICOR in Riau Coastal region of 9.532. Needs total investments over the period 2016-2020 in Riau Coastal region at constant prices in 2010 amounted to Rp. 257,431.24
